| "The psychic scars caused by believing that you are ugly leave a permanent mark on your personality." Joan Rivers was quoted as saying that. And so koshi must wonder... how can she spend her fame making the women and girls of America feel ugly too? Does she get off on intimidating our stars into walking the red carpet looking like over-styled stepford zombies? Guess those scars run deep. Koshi thinks women are most beautiful with their individuality and creativity in tact. That's why koshi luvs watching the IFC footage of the Cannes Film Festival each year. Their red carpet remains a showcase for the weird, the brazen, and often lovely self-expression of the fashionista. Let's all watch, shall we? This year's opening ceremonies kicked the fest off in style with Emmanuelle Beart dressed as a love-ravaged wood nympth, many a man, including the hot hot Gael Garcia Bernal, sporting razor edged mullets, Tilda Swinton, with her copper hair and golden sheath, resembling a cool androgynous statue, and Quentin Tarrantino wearing the most tasteful accessory on his arm, Sophia Coppola. Closing ceremonies are May 22 and koshi plans to make a day of it by renting Henry Jaglom's breezy masterpiece, "Festival In Cannes", and over-indulging in wine, cheese, and bread. Tres magnifique! |

| Koshi luvs to relive the best red carpet moments at wireimage.com...Koshi luvs girls in suits. Check out the impossibly cool Angelina Jolie strutting her goddess-like stuff at the premiere for Shrek 2, or gorgeous (under-rated) Saffron Burrows at the Premiere for Troy. Also at Troy, Kate Bosworth made a siren red gown and diamond hoops look like the most natural thing in the world. That face! And speaking of faces, to the Premiere for "Motorcycle Diaries", Mia Maestro, hair slicked back ballerina-style, wore white structured ruffles with smart black accents, managing to make even the plungiest of plunging necklines look demure. And can koshi just say... Jesus Christ! Jimmy's hot... |
